Femidom – an alternative
There are condoms that are made primarily for women. They are difficult to get hold of, but you can find them on the internet. They can be an option if you’d prefer not to use an ordinary condom for one reason or another.
This type of alternative condom is called a Femidom and is made from either rubber or plastic, just like ordinary condoms. Femidoms are inserted into the vagina, where they act as a sort of “bag”, providing protection during penetration.
Femidoms can also be used during intercourse with another man. It should be inserted in the anus of the man who is being penetrated by the other man. This is why referring to Femidoms as a woman’s condom is misleading – even if they are marketed as such.
